‘𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒊 by Amanda Weinberg

Wow. Just wow. These characters must be ghosts talking through the author surely? I cannot believe they are fictional- they are so real. This is such a powerful and heart breaking story. A story of grief, love, courage, fear, determination, community and hope set in Italy through the war and the fascist regime of Mussolini and the Nazis. The author makes every emotion so real and brings history to life in this gripping debut novel. Definitely on my list of favourite books of 2020.

Thank you so much to @reddoorbooks and @amandaweinbergauthor for sending me this beautiful book and for giving me the chance to be part of the blog tour.’
